Grook docs

A ten-minute tour of the terminal, the AI behind it, where the numbers come from, and how a trade gets from your words to the chain.

Overview

An AI terminal for the trenches.

Grook finds runners, reads the chart, scans for rugs and builds the trade, for Solana memecoins and pump.fun. You ask in plain words; it answers with live cards and a straight, slightly sarcastic take. It never trades for you.

2 brains

An instant command router, plus Grok for everything else.

7 sources

Live chain reads and market APIs, fetched when you ask.

0 keys held

Every trade is signed in your own wallet.

Quick start

From zero to first scan in a minute.

  1. 1

    Open the terminal

Go to grook.fun/app. No sign-up needed to research.

  2. 2

    Ask anything

Try trending, a ticker like bonk, or paste a contract address.

  3. 3

    Connect to trade

Connect Phantom, Backpack or Solflare when you want to buy, sell or see your bags.

How it works

Two brains, one chat.

Plain commands are answered instantly by a rule-based router, for free. Everything else goes to Grok (xAI), which calls those same commands as tools, so its answers are always built on live data, not guesses.

“is the dev of wif still holding?”

  1. 1Anything that isn’t a plain command goes to Grok.
  2. 2Grok calls the same commands as tools, up to four rounds, and can search X.
  3. 3Live cards come from the data; the short take comes from Grok.
Packets show the path a message takes. Pick a case to follow it, or let it tour all three.

Commands

Things you can type.

You don’t have to use these. Grook understands normal questions too. But they’re the fastest way in, and every one works without the AI.

Data sources

Live from the chain, not from memory.

Grook doesn’t keep its own price database. Each answer is assembled from these sources at the moment you ask.

Trading

Curve-aware, self-custodied.

New pump.fun coins trade on a bonding curve until they fill it. Grook checks where a coin is on its curve and routes your trade to the right place automatically.

Rug scans

Red flags, before you ape.

Type scan and a coin, or ask Grook if something is safe. It checks the things that usually give a rug away.

Limits

Free, within reason.

Grook is free to use. A few limits keep it fast for everyone. If you hit one, wait a minute and carry on.

Fair-use limits, per minute

  • Token lookups120
  • Trade quotes and builds60
  • Wallet reads40
  • Chat messages30
  • AI replies (Grok)12
Per visitor. On top of these, Grok answers up to 300 free questions a day; after that the instant router still answers every command.

Safety

Read this part.

  • Not financial advice

Grook is a research and trade-building tool. It won’t tell you what to buy, and you shouldn’t treat its jokes as a signal.

  • Memecoins go to zero

Most of them, eventually. Only trade what you can afford to lose completely.

  • You sign everything

Grook never holds funds or keys. Always read the trade in your wallet before you approve it.

  • Scans aren’t guarantees

A clean scan lowers the odds of a rug. It doesn’t rule one out.
